Adrian Eisenhower is a painter (young master), teacher, and one of the most compassionate friends anybody could hope to know. He’s a philosopher, deep thinker and endearing poet. Adrian wields a keen sense of humor anyone with a working mind can readily appreciate. He’s about thirty-six times stronger than he appears, and can often be found on the walls at the climbing gym or behind the desk. Wherever he is, he’s making a positive impact. One particular demonstration of his commitment to art and education is the growing Walton Ave. Atelier. I remember when Adrian launched his Kickstarter campaign (still waiting on that print, man). He was nervous, excited, and hopeful about generating the funding required to realize his dream of starting a center for artists to practice, learn, and create together. Now, with the invaluable help of Matthias Doherty and a handful of friends who share his vision, he’s running a successful venture in a completely transformed space which benefits a far broader community than those of the immediate members who frequent the studio. The images that follow are from one of Adrian’s sketchbooks. Feast your eyes upon the work of a brilliant artist, and be sure to give Adrian a giant hug and heartfelt expression of gratitude every single time you see him. This man is working diligently and with great effect to improve our world. Also, watch out for events at Walton Ave., they are not to be missed.
