Kristina, Rob and I have just come off a trip to the Tetons, a majestic mountain range in Western Wyoming.

On the Road in Rob’s Honda Civic, the little climate controlled pod that carried us across the country.

Kristina behind the wheel.

Here I am in Cabin 5 at the AAC Climber’s Ranch, making some watercolor paintings.

Swimming in Jenny Lake.

And lounging at the cabin to avoid the 90 degree midday temps.

A truly spectacular mountain range.

From the Climber’s Ranch, Kristina, Rob and I hiked up Burnt Wagon Gulch.

Rob and I bade farewell to Kristina. Rob and I continued up Garnet Canyon to climb Lower and Upper Exum on the Grand. Kristina carried on to Amphitheater Lake.

From the Climber’s Ranch to the Lower Saddle it is about a 7 mile hike and 5000 feet of elevation gain.

We spent the night on the Lower Saddle.

Here is the view from the Lower Saddle of the Grand.

We were up at 4:30 and climbing a little after 6.

Rob coming up on the 5th pitch.

Running up the ridge to the summit.

Summit shot.

We rapped off the Owen-Spalding route and made the 7 mile hike down under the moonlight.

Buds back at the Ranch.

Now that we are back in Cleveland, I look forward to training for the next adventure!
